Did you see that crazy bitch that had DRAKE tattooed on her forehead?
Not all of "A Ghost Is Born" is oatmeal!
Case in point "Muzzle of Bees" with distinctive acoustic guitar plucking and strumming, Vince Guaraldi-ish piano interludes and weirdly distorted electric guitar outro.
I was literally put to sleep by a Wilco live performance at the Savannah Music Festival last year. SO disappointing!
Gar-funk is on the money with his assessment of the staying power deficit of Wilco albums. For me YHF was the end of the good run, with only bits and pieces here and there since then. That said, "The Whole Love" is growing on me.
With the last few albums I find myself growing a little tired of the lack of beginnings and endings. One long soundscape, while cinematic and cool, wears me down with the unrelenting down-ness. Rock it Teeedy! ....for fuck's sake
